Badminton & Malaysia – A Bond That Never Fades

No other sport runs as deep in the Malaysian spirit as badminton. It started on school courts, kampung fields, and packed community halls echoing with roars when the Sidek brothers put Malaysia on the map – and the flame burns just as bright today, as Lee Zii Jia takes on the world's best on the BWF stage.

Angkringan138 understands how deeply Malaysians love badminton. That's why we've invested seriously in making our badminton coverage the most comprehensive in Malaysia — from Super 1000 events like the Malaysia Open and All England, to the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup matches that unite the entire nation behind our team.

One thing that sets angkringan138 apart from other platforms when it comes to badminton is the depth of betting markets we offer. It's not just win or lose. We cover markets like total points, set results, which player wins the first point of a specific set, total points in the first set, and much more. This range of options gives players with genuine badminton knowledge the edge to find real value.

For players who want to bet while the match is live, angkringan138 offers an unmatched in-play experience for badminton. Odds are updated with every point played – when Zii Jia wins a few consecutive points, your odds shift instantly to reflect what's happening on court.

For all deposits and withdrawals, angkringan138 supports all major local Malaysian payment methods — Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, DuitNow, and FPX via Maybank2u or CIMB Clicks. The minimum deposit is just RM 10, and winning withdrawals are processed within 5 to 15 minutes.

Popular Badminton Betting Markets on angkringan138

Over 150 betting markets per BWF Super 1000 match – the deepest selection available anywhere in Malaysia.

Match Winner (Moneyline)

The simplest market — just pick which player wins the entire match. Since badminton has no draws, there are only two options. A great starting point for anyone new to badminton betting at angkringan138.

Set Handicap

The stronger player is given a negative handicap in sets. For example, Axelsen -1.5 sets means you need Axelsen to win 2-0 for your bet to succeed. This market is ideal when there is a significant gap in ability between the two players, offering more attractive odds as a result.

Total Points Over/Under

Predict whether the total points played in a match or a specific set will go over or under a set line. This market is especially popular for doubles matches, which tend to be more fast-paced and feature longer rallies.

Exact Set Score

Predict the exact set score – either 2-0 or 2-1. Badminton matches are played in a best-of-three format, so there are two possible set outcomes. Odds for a 2-1 victory are generally higher, reflecting the closer and more unpredictable nature of the contest.

First Set Winner

Predict who wins just the first set, regardless of the overall match result. This is a popular market for live betting as the odds shift with every point played on court.

Tournament Winner (Outright)

Bet on who will win the entire tournament before it begins. Outright odds tend to be higher given the greater uncertainty across multiple rounds. This market is most exciting for the Thomas Cup, Uber Cup, and BWF World Tour Finals.
